CherryBits is a simple TIFF file viewer and creator that uses 32-bit color quickdraw GWorlds.
It will function under system 6.0 with 32-bit color quickdraw installed, but it works best under System 7.0 which corrected a significant number of bugs in 32-bit CQD. Printing will not work correctly with version 6 of the LaserWriter drivers.
The tools are self explanatory with the following exceptions:
1) Hold down the option key while using the pencil to select a new foreground color. Hold down shift-option to select a new background color.
2) Hold down the shift key while using the marquee to add to the current selection.
3) Hold down the shift key while using the eye-dropper tool to select a new background color.
4) Hold down the option key while using the magnifying glass to reduce the picture.
The dither menu item has no effect if the monitor is set to millions of colors.
Known bugs.
Pictures less than eight pixels wide don't save properly. Must fix this.
